DreamCatcher Australian Shepherds

DreamCatcher Australian Shepherds is a hobby kennel located in Southeastern Virginia. We purchased our first Aussie, Dottie, to compete in conformation events. The "show bug" bit us very hard; but, not as hard as the "Aussie bug". What beautiful, wonderful, loving, versatile companions they are.

Since acquiring our first Aussie, we have produced 2 wonderful litters, raised one homegrown champion, another close to his AKC and ASCA championship. We have pups performing in events in other states including an ATCH-2 champion (highly ranked nationally in ASCA Agility competition. We have our pups touching the hearts of their owners in multiple states. We have, also, entered the tough competitive world of professional dog show handling. We teach a handling class weekly. What a ride this has been.

We have a simple philosophy regarding our dogs:

  • We treat our dogs as family. Our dogs are housedogs.
  • We wish to promote this wonderful breed.
  • We wish to pass along to others the help and encouragement that we are so fortunate to have received.

Our small kennel boasts three champions: AKC Ch. Skyecove's Solar Flair, RN, CGC, DNA-VP; AKC Ch. Skyecoves Arcturus of Sandstone; and AKC CH/ UKC CH DreamCatcher's Thief of Hearts, DNA-VP. We have several Aussie youngsters coming along. Last but certainly not least is our Golden Retriever - Beauregard of Virginia, RN, CGC.

DreamCatcher is a member of the United States Australian Shepherd Association and the Australian Shepherd Club of America, and Blue Ridge Australian Shepherd Club.
